“Very busy night! Over 1100 people came to the tent throughout the night and we ran out of snacks, three jugs of water and gave out lots of Narcan and testing strips.”

“A few frats were throwing today. A group of us went to help someone while we waited for paramedics. Lots of people came to the tent for snacks and to take breaks. The music was lively.”
UCIV had a busy Week Two weekend! UCIV representatives were visited by more than 1,000 and 300 Isla Vista Community members on Friday and Saturday (respectively). Representatives reported seeing high volumes of foot traffic throughout the weekend and administered Narcan and first aid when necessary.

“Today was a pretty busy day with 700 ish people showing up…We mainly handed out snacks and water with only one person stopping by for first aid. Overall it was a pretty busy day with only 5 officers but it was still pretty fun.”

“Took 2 1/2 jugs of water and left with like half. Pretty busy night but nothing scary happened. Also people wanted Scooby Snacks back.”

“Definitely ran into people needing company or an escort home. Patrols were definitely what we spent a lot of the night doing and we made sure that everyone was safe on the walks.”

UCIV’s Week Three weekend was quite lively. The Camino Pescadero Tent was visited by over 700 and 300 community members on Friday and Saturday respectively. Representatives were put to work handing out snacks, water, Narcan and fentanyl test strips (just some of our many resources available through UCIV).
